Furnace Installation in
Farmington, UT

Two Different Furnace Problems, One City

Farmington's housing stock tells two stories. In the long-established neighborhoods near downtown and Station Park, we frequently find furnaces that were undersized when they were installed decades ago and have only gotten less efficient with age. Out in the newer subdivisions pushing east toward the bench and west toward Farmington Bay, homeowners are usually asking for something different: a system that's smart-thermostat-ready and sized correctly for larger, more efficient modern floor plans. Either way, the fix starts with an honest assessment, not an automatic upsell — check our Farmington furnace repair page if your system might still have life left in it.

Why Sizing Is the Whole Ballgame

An undersized furnace runs nonstop and still can't keep up on the coldest days of Davis County's inversion season. An oversized one short-cycles, wearing out parts faster and leaving some rooms overheated while others stay cold. We run a proper load calculation on every installation — accounting for your home's size, windows, insulation, and duct layout — instead of just matching the BTU rating of whatever's being removed.

Efficiency Ratings That Actually Move the Needle

AFUE efficiency ratings on new furnaces range from around 80% up to 98%+. If your current system is 10-15 years old or more, it's likely operating well below today's standards, and the difference shows up directly on your gas bill every winter. We carry Trane, Carrier, Lennox, and Mitsubishi, and we'll walk you through which efficiency tier makes sense for your home and budget.

Financing, Permits, and What to Expect

Most Farmington installations are financed through Synchrony Bank, with both traditional fixed-interest plans and 0%-interest-for-a-term options available. We pull the required permit, schedule the city inspection, and stand behind the job with a 1-year parts and labor warranty and a lifetime workmanship guarantee on the installation, on top of the manufacturer's warranty. Most single-furnace installs are done in a day.
