HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical
in Bountiful, Utah.
Much of Bountiful was built between the 1950s and the 1980s. Those homes were designed around a gas furnace, and many were never built with central air conditioning. By July, that is what most of our Bountiful calls are about. We also repair furnaces, water heaters, drains and panels, and we start every job the same way: find the real cause, put the price in writing, and look for a repair before talking replacement.
Adding AC to a Bountiful Home That Never Had It
If your home has a furnace but no air conditioner, you have three realistic options, and the right one depends on the ductwork you already have.
- Central AC on your existing ducts. This works well when the furnace is in good shape and the ducts are sized and sealed well enough to carry cooled air. See AC installation in Bountiful.
- A ductless mini-split. No ductwork needed, so it suits additions, converted rooms and homes whose old ducts can't handle central air. See ductless mini-split installation.
- A heat pump. One system that cools in summer and heats in winter. See heat pump installation.
Ductwork decides more of these projects than the equipment does. Original sheet-metal ducts from the 1950s through the 1970s often have loose joints in the attic or crawl space, undersized returns and runs that were extended later without being re-sized. We look at the ducts before we quote, tell you what we find, and put every option in writing so you can compare them.
Bench or Valley Floor: Size the System to the House
Homes higher on Bountiful's east bench, toward Mueller Park and Orchard Drive, tend to run colder in winter and catch more wind than homes on the valley floor. That is one reason we size equipment to the house rather than copying the unit being replaced. An oversized furnace or AC short-cycles, wears out sooner and leaves some rooms uncomfortable. See furnace repair and furnace installation in Bountiful.
What Davis County Homeowners Say
Real Google reviews from Bountiful-area homeowners
The technician Kyle was fabulous. Showed up on time, communicated about everything and didn’t try to upsell me. I feel really good about the service and checkout of my system and will definitely be using Aireo in the Fall to check my furnace.
Amazing customer service, professional, reliable, respectful, and gave options for affordability. We will definitely be using them for future services!
Great service and very professional. Maintenance visit went smooth. I will be happy to use thier HVAC services again.
Plumbing in 1950s to 1980s Bountiful Homes
The most common plumbing problem in homes this age is the pipe itself. Galvanized steel supply lines corrode from the inside, which narrows the opening, lowers water pressure and eventually leaks. Older cast-iron drains crack and take on roots. Hard water leaves scale in water heaters and fixtures across the valley.
Most of the time the answer is a targeted repair, and a leaking section or a worn valve doesn't mean the whole house needs new pipe. When a home has repeated leaks in different places, we'll walk you through what a repipe involves so you can decide with the full picture. Panels, Air Quality and the Rest
We also handle electrical work in Bountiful, most often panel upgrades for homes still running a 100-amp panel, generator installation and EV charger circuits. Older homes also tend to leak air and filter poorly, and Davis County's winter inversions make that noticeable, so ask about indoor air quality options at your visit.
What a Bountiful Service Call Costs
Every visit starts with a dispatch fee: $29 for plumbing and $49 for HVAC. It is applied toward any repair you approve. After the technician diagnoses the problem you get a written quote, and nothing starts until you say yes. We don't bill by the hour. See our upfront pricing promise, current specials and the Aireo Home Care Plan ($20 a month, includes an AC tune-up, a furnace tune-up and a water heater flush).
